Details emerge for Juan Atkins' 35th anniversary tour and release

Juan Atkins announce 35th anniversary world tour

2015 marks 35 years of Juan Atkins pioneering the development of a whole new of style of music, which has evolved from abandoned warehouses in Detroit, to a global multimillion dollar business . Metroplex inspired countless fans with its sonic innovations and futuristic philosophies. Atkins and Metroplex continue to inspire and impress with performance innovations and musical creativity. Here’s looking forward to another 35 years.

To celebrate this ephemeris, Juan Atkins has planned a series of events that include the release of a new Model 500 album, the re-release of the whole Metroplex's back catalogue, NO UFO'S remixes by Derrick May, Green Velvet and Luciano, and one year world wide tour to be launched in Detroit next May 2015. The tour will feature Metroplex artists such as Kimyon Huggins, Terrence Dixon, Plural, Model 500 as well as friends like Kevin Sanderson, Derrick May, and Borderland. More artists and activities will be confirmed during beginning of 2015, stay tuned and don't miss out!!!

We must be patient. it's not every day that Model 500 re-emerges after all.
