What to really say about Destroyer? Lead singer, songwriter and guitarist Dan Bejar has been at the forefront of literate indie-rock for a few decades, now. Through a constant supply of pop hooks and words that pop in your head at the strangest time of any day his songs are always Teflon strong. We’re also impressed by his need to regularly change his sound at the risk of losing his latest crop of fans. There are not many musicians over 40 that you should never miss the chance to see. Bejar —like Neil Young, Björk, and Will Oldham— is simply an artist to never miss. (18+)
