Collage of Life

Patricia Simpson was born and raised in Saginaw Michigan. Her love for art started at an early age. Her elementary school art experiences she cherished. Her mom felt that Art was not a lucrative vocation. Ironically Pat received a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Wayne State, taught for over 30 years. It was at Wayne State where she was introduced to ceramics. It quickly became her passion and constant creative form of expression, along with painting and jewelry making. Her work is greatly influenced by the African, Australian and Asian cultures.
