On Wednesday, January 29, join Claude Baillargeon as he presents “The Photography of the Chernobyl Aftermath”. Were it not for the current resurgence of interest in Chernobyl, which was triggered in part by the popular HBO miniseries, one might have assumed that the aftermath of the 1986 nuclear accident had by now largely dissipated. But as a plethora of photobooks clearly reveals, the impact of the catastrophe never ceased to attract the attention of international photographers, whose work bears witness to its myriad consequences.
