Chicago Afrobeat Project

After more than a decade since its birth from Chicago's underground art and loft party scene, Chicago Afrobeat Project slams a live show as if it were day one. The energy translates on "Nyash Up!" the band's fourth official album project and its best-sounding, best-produced release so far. This latest work, while certainly afrobeat at its core, also reaches into new territories by incorporating elements of hip-hop, orchestra-like musical arrangements, and stylistic explorations of rock, jazz and funk.
