Georges Bizet’s masterpiece Carmen will grace the Detroit Opera House in all of its scandalous glory. The story of a magnetically attractive gypsy woman who fatally seduces two men is a tale that never seems to grow old and captures the attention of even those newest to opera. Carmen will be portrayed by both Ginger Costa-Jackson and Sandra Piques Eddy. Love interest Don Jose will be played by Marcelo Puente and Alok Kumar, and Escamillo will be played by Luis Alejandro Orozco.
