On Saturday, August 25, the committee will team up with local historian Jamon Jordan for an exciting bus tour. Participants will visit sites with Michigan Historical Markers that commemorate African American contributions to state and national history. Site stops will include the Home of Ossian Sweet and the William V. Banks Broadcast Museum, as well as the Gateway to Freedom Monument at Hart Plaza, just to name a few. The last stop on the tour will be the Motown Museum, one of Detroit’s greatest gems.
