BEST WRITER

Chris Handyside

Thank you for calling me the best writer. I thank you for that.

I like writing a lot. I like writing a lot because I get to tell stories. I like to tell stories about people. I like most to tell stories about people who make beautiful music. I also like to tell stories about people who are just people. Like me. Some people aren’t as good at making beautiful music as others. I like to write about them, too. But it’s different.

I like that you like my writing. It makes me very happy. Some of my journalism teachers really liked my writing. Some didn’t like it as much. I’ve always liked to write, though.

My parents like my writing. I like my parents. My co-workers are great writers, too. I’m proud to work with them. They tell stories about people, too. But they all tell different kinds of stories. Their stories are just as good, just different.

I hope you keep reading my writing. I never like to write the same thing twice. So pay attention. Thank you to all of the people I’ve written about. I hope to meet many, many more of you that I can write about. Keep making beautiful music and doing interesting things with your lives. I will, too. (Okay, enough already, just get it finished! — ed.)

As for this, well, I’d like to write more, but I’ve already missed my deadline. Again. — Chris Handyside
