We thought we were the only people who noticed this, but Little Z’s rules. Opened in May 2012, Little Z’s BBQ is a small, unassuming restaurant with great service and some of the best slow-cooked proteins in town. In fact, one of our friends, a barbecue maven who scoffs at some of the newer entries to the game, had nothing but praise to heap upon them. Like lots of newer barbecue joints, they offer a half-dozen sweet and hot sauces, but, for diners who ask for it, they even offer vinegar-based sauces, including Alabama White and Carolina Mustard. They don’t serve beer or wine, but probably wouldn’t throw you out if you brought your own.
