Family picnics, softball games, pictures in front of James Scott Memorial Fountain — everyone has fond memories of Belle Isle. For decades, Detroiters frolicked and congregated on the island, and though it has seen some wear and tear, Belle Isle has had some major renovations recently with plans for more. This coming season is a good time to make new family memories in the park. Don't forget your recreation passport when renewing your driver's license.
