Are there any other drinking vinegars? Well, even if there aren't, we should still single out Josh and Jess McClary for their contribution to our rich local drinking culture. Their gift was the rediscovery of an obscure 18th century technique for preserving fruit flavors using the magic of vinegar. These "drinking vinegars" come in flavors that range from the traditional, such as cherry, to such novelties as Thai basil or beet and carrot.
