Art Show

Normally, when you think of Tom’s Tavern, you don’t think of art. As you’ll see in our profile of bartender Ron Gurdjian in this week’s issue, many things come to mind — the tilted bar, the sloping floor, the low ceiling — but viewing art in the daytime isn’t generally one of them. That said, the place has announced a three-day art show, and we can only wonder what the creative crowd that keeps this dive going will have to offer. The ultimate work of art, however, is the bar itself. Enjoy this rare opportunity to see it at high noon. Event continues until Tuesday, June 16. (21+)
