An Evening With Freda Payne

Legendary Jazz, Soul and R&B singer, Freda Payne returns home to Michigan for a performance at the Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts in Downtown Pontiac on Saturday, June 10 (8 p.m.). Tickets for Freda Payne are on sale now. Born in Detroit, the multi-faceted Payne is best known for singing career during the mid–1960s through the mid–1980s. She will be inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame with a ceremony in Detroit on June 11 for her contributions in music. Her most notable record is her 1970 hit single, Band of Gold.
