All the madness we saw at the Hamtramck Labor Day Festival

Water balloons, canoes with wheels, wrestling, and a Rod Stewart impersonator were all attractions at the 40th annual Hamtramck Labor Day Festival, which invited visitors to stroll the sprawling event. For four decades, Hamtramck — which is known as "the world in two square miles" — has celebrated the working class with a kick-ass blowout along the main drag of Joseph Campau that has a little bit of everything: it's part music fest, part foodie destination, and, at the end of the day, a wet and wild party (no, really).
