Sara Gerard breaks down her “Dorkster” style

All dolled up

The is adorable gal is Sara Gerard. She hails from Oak Park and works as an office assistant, but dreams of becoming a full-time writer. In the meantime, she uses her blog,, as a creative outlet and practice space for her future endeavors.

Her hobbies include reading just about anything and spending an inordinate amount of time on Tumblr. She has what she refers to as a "flirting obsession" with street style, but doesn't yet have the budget to commit to a full-on relationship with the trend. Instead, her wardrobe is procured mostly from thrift stores, clearance racks, and online shops.

She says her personal style is casual and calls herself a "self-proclaimed Dorkster," often incorporating Lord of the Rings shirts and classic Doctor Who pins into her outfits to represent her many fandoms.
