The Fountain Detroit 'beachside' restaurant opens this weekend in Campus Martius

Downtown Detroit's best "urban beachside experience" kicks off the season this weekend when The Fountain Detroit opens up its umbrellas in Campus Martius Park.

The restaurant operates out of a 40-foot long steel shipping container and serves a variety of lunchtime eats like paninis, burgers, and salads. The menu also includes small plates like Crunchy Poke Tuna with diced tuna, seaweed salad, sweet soy, toasted sesame and mango mojo sauce.

You're in good hands here as the restaurant is run by 800 Parc, LLC, the same group operating the popular Parc. It was named the new concessionaire for the park in February of last year. The Fountain will remain open through mid-October.
