OK, all you MasterChef wannabes. Aug. 22 could be your big chance to show off your culinary chops when the show, in its seventh season, opens casting calls at the Doubltetree hotel at 525 W Lafayette Blvd. downtown.
Hopefuls must pre-register online and arrive between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. with a prepared dish. Then chefs will have 3 minutes to plate their meals for the food judges. Organizers say no kitchen will be available to cook or warm the dish up so come prepared. Who knows, maybe you'll be the next cook to be humiliated by celeb chef Gordon Ramsay.
