Highland Park's Bill Haley gets the New Yorker treatment

This was a pleasant surprise to awake to: Musical pioneer Bill Haley's early rock and roll music gets written about in the New Yorker, and it's not behind a pay wall. Among other things, David Cantwell is the author of a lengthy, considered piece on Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come," among other things.   Seeing as it's a New Yorker article and we had to get to work and stuff, we only read the first one-fifth of the thing this morning. But we look forward to digging into it later today. Is tlwrl (too long, will read later) a thing?
