GM Rockin' on the Riverfront adds encore show featuring Eddie Money

It's easy to make fun of these "GM Rockin’ on the Riverfront" shows, because they're a sorry mish-mash of yesteryear hitmakers (Doobie Brothers) barely-were-beens (.38 Special, Kansas), solo artists from has-been bands (Dennis DeYoung of Styx, Burton Cummings of The Guess Who), and lawsuit-avoiding, barely chooglin' Dad-rock (Credence Clearwater Revisited).

But they're free concerts, and how can anyone in America make fun of something that's free (and of course is then some kind of corporately sponsored thing, because this is America, where everything not outrageoulsy expensive or almost lethal is powered by advertorsement).

Whatever, Eddie Money just got added to the lineup, and hey I bet that the Doobie Brothers show will be great, because how can it not be.

So be sure to make sure your Dad doesn't get too loaded because you know that those Mexican quaaludes interact weirdly with his high blood pressure meds!
