Local theater troupe will perform "The Addams Family — A New Musical" starting next week

A few months ago, the North Rosedale Park Community House put on a funky pastiche of Lewis Carroll's creepy fairy tales, Alice Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, a play they called Alice Through the Looking GlassWe previewed the steampunk-styled show and spoke with North Rosedale Park Community House's 20-year veteran director Sarah Hedeen.

In keeping with their theme of taking culturally popular features and giving them a little twist, the theater group now plans to bring a special Addams Family musical to the stage of their 75-year-old playhouse.

The Addams Family — A New Musical will see the macabre family interacting with some run-of-the-mill Ohio natives, one of whom just might capture the wicked Wednesday's heart.

Opening night is Friday, March 13. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. This evening will be a dinner theater and tickets are $30. The show runs for three weekends with days and times varying. You can call 313-835-1103 for more info or check out the Facebook invitation here
