The market returns with a new location this year. Now held in the city's historic American Legion Hall, the winter market will still offer plenty from local food vendors, artisans, and craftspeople. There will also be market classes and activities for kids.

Sundays, 11/30, 12/7, and 12/14 Sunday Street Market @ Shed 3, Eastern Market
For three Sundays before Christmas, Eastern Market welcomes local crafters and makers to Shed 3 for a festive and fun shopping extravaganza. In addition to a slew of opportunities to buy something made by local artisans, there will also be holiday-themed food and beverage vendors, along with visits from Santa. You'll also find locally grown trees as well as all the trimmings.

Saturday, 11/29 Shop Detroit @ D:Hive
This event is more about getting info than getting gifts. There will be literature on local retailers, as well as a shuttle service to shopping destinations in greater Detroit. Attendees will also get special discounts, and there will be vendors from Build Detroit on-site as well.

Friday, Dec. 5 Krampus Bazaar of Local Art @ Atomic Cafe
This craft fair isn't for the nice children on your list; this one's all about the naughty boys and girls. The craft fair will feature creepy wares from a small selection of local artisans. Think: skulls, Grumpy Cat, Creepy N Cute dolls, spooky cameos, and plenty more. Rumor has it Krampus himself will be making an appearance, and dishing out some swattings, too.

Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 13-14 DIYpsi Indie Art Fair @ Riverside Arts Center
From crocheted cacti to dry goods to cards, jewelry made from bullets to Cellar Door soaps and more, the DIYpsi Art Fair offers a small, but genuinely good collection of local vendors who make quality goods. Plus, there will also be festive food and drink!

Saturday, Nov. 29 Northwest Holiday Market @ Always Brewing Detroit
This will be a smaller makers market, as it takes place inside Always Brewing Detroit, but the selection of crafters is still top-notch. It includes Si of Relief, DC Grind Catering, Hart of Detroit, Firebrand Candles, Trish's Garage, Little Toes Boutique, and more.

Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 29-30 St. Nick's Warehouse @ Henry Ford II High School, Sterling Heights
Over 10,000 people visited this craft show last year, and it's no wonder this Macomb County staple attracts so many shoppers. The vendor list is long and varied, with 200 unique crafters on the roster. There's 59,000 square feet of crafts! This market is also a fundraiser for the Henry Ford II Athletic Club Boosters, so it raises money to help kids play sports, too.
