New pierogi and crepe shop opens in Wyandotte

The Little Pierogi & Crepe Kitchen opened in Wyandotte on Wednesday. It is indeed little, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in total cuteness. The small space on Elm in downtown has formerly been Maximilian's, a Mexican restaurant, and Joe's Hamburgers. When Joe's made the move to a bigger space on Biddle, employee Drew Greer jumped at the opportunity to open his own restaurant.

Greer is just 20 years old and worked for Joe's for five years before deciding to open his own place. Right now he's just selling pierogis and crepes, but he'll soon be branching out to breakfast as well.

The menu consists of items named after the city's streets including the Ford Ave. pierogi, which comes with ham and swiss cheese and the Oak crepe, which features hummus, spinach, roasted garlic, and feta. The small space offers both dine-in and carry-out service but, for the time being, only accepts cash.

The Little Pierogi & Crepe Kitchen is located at 125 Elm in Wyandotte. They're open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Check their Facebook here for more updates.
