The battered and bruised face of Iggy Pop has appeared on a new Amnesty International ad in France as part of a campaign against torture.
The theme of the campaign, which also includes images of the Dalai Lama and fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, is “Torture a man and he will tell you anything.”
So alongside Iggy’s beaten face is the phrase, “L’avenir du rock ‘n’ roll, c’est Justin Bieber,” which translates as, “The future of rock’n’roll, it’s Justin Bieber.”
Good on you, Iggy. A great cause. And kudos to Amnesty International for an imaginative and eye catching campaign.
