For five years, a community collective called The Foundation Of 5e Gallery, has met every weekend to showcase of the talents of women spanning all artistic mediums of Hip Hop culture, through music, dance, and the visual/performing arts as well as serve as an educational initiative to demonstrate the social impact of Hip Hop while starting new conversations about women of color and the gaining impact of feminism across Hip Hop's cultural forms.

The Foundation has also been a celebration, bringing international, national and local girls/women together, through music and performance, emphasizing the expressive arts of Hip Hop culture, open-mic, freestyle cipher, graffiti, to special workshops supporting and creating empowering images of women.

The Foundation celebrates it's 5th anniversary this weekend.

There will be a B-Girl Breakdancing Battle, live musical performances, a graffiti showcase with live painting, vendor tables, a film screening and a DJ before the show starts to get things going.

Renowned poet Tawana "Honeycomb" Petty will host the evening's festivities, with performances from DSSense, Mahogany Jones, Inside The Riot, NigLoveRhodes, Keys Blake, Jaci Caprice, Abstract Jazz Off Detroit, Intellect and Eternal Life.
