Truth is, the Abandoned Structure Squad takes a fairly liberal approach to the word abandoned. Take, for example, this week’s home at 18162 Greeley on Detroit’s East Side near Seven Mile Road and I-75. It’s for sale, actually, and its doors and windows are well-secured to stave off intruders. But it’s a nuisance nonetheless, with weeds taking over a back yard strangely strewn with bicycle parts (the snoops from A.S.S saw a two-month-old ticket in the mail box regarding the undergrowth). Neighbor Thelma Rines also points out that the place seems to have become home to a number of raccoons, as well as feral cats. As a result, it’s a sore thumb on an otherwise well-kept block. Interested in buying? Phone 248-546-9839, and tell ’em A.S.S. sent ya.
