Former Second City cast member Eric Black, 36, in town for Saturday night’s gala premiere of the improv group’s 10th anniversary show, Ten, was killed after being struck by a car on I-75 near Nine Mile Sunday morning. Details of the accident were unavailable at press time. Black, originally from Great Britain, was a cast member during Second City’s memorable 1997-98 season, and reportedly had a one-man show in the works. Black’s role as a psychiatrist in Viagra Falls is reprised by Jeff Fritz in Second City’s current show. The comedian “will be dearly missed,” says Second City spokeswoman Kathleen Kennedy.
