Mad about Harry

By now all those avid Harry Potter fans have at least begun to unravel the mystery behind the latest installment Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Book 4). The new book's content was all hush-hush with nary a published review or Internet message board synopsis before its release last week. The book was pre-ordered like crazy, which may seem a bit extreme. Then again, getting your hands on a Harry Potter book might make a lot more sense than most of us realize. Prices of previous first editions have skyrocketed. I've seen a set of three Harry Potter UK deluxe first editions going for about $975 on the Internet; a signed copy of the first UK printing of Prisoner of Azkaban sells for almost $500 on another site. But for a mere $25, kids can enjoy the newest Harry Potter adventure from www.amazon.com or virtually any other bookseller in the country. Norene Cashen pays attention here every other week.
