The Detroit City Football Club will boast the Stroh’s logo on their jerseys starting in 2019, after the team announced a recent partnership with the beer company. DCFC named Stroh’s its official beer back in 2016.

“It means a lot to our organization to have an iconic Detroit brand like Stroh’s on the front of our jerseys for our biggest year yet,“ Sean Mann, Detroit City FC co-owner, said in a statement.

DCFC is a grassroots organization that seeks to build community through the game of soccer, and Stroh’s has recently sought to actively reconnect with the city of Detroit — where it was established in 1850. As an example of this effort, the company has enlisted a local artist to work on its packaging, which will be debuted in the summer.

“As we work to bring Stroh’s back into the community it calls home, a partnership with DCFC made perfect sense. Their dedication to supporting the city and positively impacting our community is second to none.” said Rachel Keeton, Associate Brand Manager for Stroh’s.

Those interested in purchasing the jerseys can do so at detcityfcstore.com in a few weeks. DCFC’s opening home game will be on May 19 at Keyworth Stadium, where fans 21+ will now also be able to purchase Stroh’s products at the Stroh’s bar.
