Justin Durant’s workout playlist

Gearing up for Lions’ activities — and getting a lil’ nostalgic

My, oh, my, how the time flies. It seems as if just the other day I was cleaning out my locker after our first round playoff exit courtesy of the Saints. Now, it's almost time to report back for offseason workouts and OTAs (Organized Team Activities). It's cool — though I still have a bad taste in my mouth, so I'm ready for the grind again. #NoDaysOff! We have about one-and-a-half months before we head back, so I'm working out now to get ready to go work out with the Lions. Yeah, you read it right.

Y'all already know how I am about my music, so of course I have an infinite amount of workout playlists. I recently noticed something while getting my cardio on ... most of the time I listen to the same list — that infamous "Lil Jon Era" list, which takes me back to my younger days of getting crunk at all times. Every album would be played before games in high school and college. I can't think of anybody else in music history that'll have you ready to attack somebody-something faster than Lil Jon. Nobody. Whatever he commanded, the majority did. You had to be on your toes at all times or you could end up on the floor leaking in front of females. Def not a good look. The music just seems to give everybody courage. That bass will have a lightweight thinking he can jump under 315 and press it with ease.

That being said let me give y'all my top 10 workout songs by Lil Jon & the Eastside Boyz, or produced by or featuring Lil Jon.

I really could give you 50 tracks that get me amped but I'll just leave it at that. Lil Jon has crossed over to greener pastures nowadays doing numerous collabs with LMFAO — do your thing, homie. It's all good though; you can't deny the run he had from about '02 to '06. S/O to Lil Jon, man, I appreciate it. I'm out.
