2) Give Thanks Detroit at Grasshopper Underground

3) Stanley Kubrick Double Feature At Untitled Bottega
Wednesday, Nov. 6, 10:00 p.m.
Admission is actually a mere dollar, for but a Stanley Kubrick double feature this is a steal. This weekly event, running through Dec. 11, starts with Eyes Wide Shut (10 p.m.) and the undeniable classic 2001: Space Odyssey (1 a.m.). on Wednesday.

4) Lines, Danced at Trinosophes
Thursday, Nov. 7, 7:30 p.m.
Visiting dancer and performance artist Abigail Levine (New York) will cover the spaces of Trinosophes—hallways, corners, exterior walls—with thousands of horizontal lines. Each line is drawn while walking—holding a pencil as still as possible, progressing along the wall as steadily as possible—always with the whole body in motion. Levine will be joined by additional dancers. Together, they complete the work of Lines, Danced, their overlapping efforts creating rhythmic and choreographic layers within the structure of the piece.

5) Detroit Collective Opening Reception: Curated by Robert Mirek at U of M Stamps School of Art & Design / work:detroit

An exhibition aimed at featuring the work of dedicated studio artists, writers and designers who have been making significant contributions to the Detroit cultural climate since the mid 1970s. Features Anita Andersons, Mark Arminski, Dennis Nawrocki, Scott Northrup and more with a performance by Frank Pahl.
