The KerryTown BookFest takes place on Sunday, September 8 in Ann Arbor. All of the info can be found here.
Of interest to music fans will be the panel titled Michigan Narratives: From Motown to Iggy Pop, which will be moderated by yours truly. Consider my own horn tooted. I’ll be speaking to Peter Benjamin, author of Mary Wells: The Tumultuous Life of Motown’s First Superstar, and Steve Miller, author of Detroit Rock City. That’s going on in the Main Tent at noon.
There’s plenty more to get your teeth into too; immediately after the music panel, you get Michigan Narratives: Vanishing Cities, with John Gallagher, Gordon Young, June Thomas and Edward McClelland, “A conversation about the changing urban cityscape in Michigan.”
There’s lots more too, so check out the website and I’ll see you on 9/8.
