City Slang: The Brothers Groove to perform at fundraiser

Local funksters the Brothers Groove will perform at a fundraiser on March 29 as the Music Foundation will present its fourth show in its ongoing LIVE at The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music series.

According to a statement, “The Brothers Groove will perform at the 1109 S. Washington Ave. location in Royal Oak. Monthly shows in the LIVE at The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music series raise funds for music education and equipment for local children in need. Tickets for the event are $25 in advance or $30 at the door and can be purchased at www.LiveTheMusicFoundation.org.”

“Each month, Live The Music Foundation presents an intimate night of music with some of the best professional artists from the region and beyond. For each show, The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music is transformed into an intimate candle-lit concert venue, allowing the audience to connect directly with the musicians. Proceeds from ticket donations provide music education tuition and equipment to children in need.”
