Marshall Crenshaw is inviting fans to subscribe to a two-year, six-EP series, each released on 10” picture sleeve vinyl and as a digital download.
All of the information can be found here. Crenshaw is aiming to raise $32,000 to make the project happen, and at the time of writing there are 28 days left.
According to the website, “Each EP will feature a brand new Marshall Crenshaw track written and recorded exclusively for this series, a great cover tune and a classic Marshall Crenshaw song which will be re-recorded. The EPs will be released every four months over the course of the next two years. Help fund this campaign and be the first to receive the EP subscription, as well as other Marshall Crenshaw items and experiences only available through Kickstarter.”
The funds raised will pay for the recording, mixing and mastering of the Audio Tracks, vinyl pressing for the 10"s, marketing costs, distribution and retail sales, and mechanical royalties for the cover tunes.
