Another year, another graduating class of abstract thinking, boundary-breaking artists entering the world via one of the most revered art academies in the country. The 2019 graduate degree exhibition featuring more than 70 graduates will show work spanning 10 of Cranbrook Academy of Arts’ departments, including 2D and 3D design, architecture, ceramics, fiber, metalsmithing, painting, photography, print media, and sculpture. For two years, each of the 2019 graduates has been creating and curating for this final showcase before launching their artistic careers. The exhibition will be on display through May 12 and will fill the entire upper galleries at the Cranbrook Art Museum.
