Last week, Detroit's notorious trash incinerator announced that it would cease operations. And this week, Detroit's answer to John Lennon and Yoko Ono took to the plumes of cinematic sidewalk steam à la the incinerator for their latest video, "Murderers."

After releasing their 2018 diarial debut LP, Summer, Metro Times' cover stars, Jenny & Jackie (or Jen David and Jeffery Thomas for the uninitiated), have kept their very Detroit love story in the forefront while still maintaining a slight air of mystery. In their latest video, shot by Andrew Miller, Jenny & Jackie bust their heart chakra's wide open.

"We had an exchange/ I gave you shelter for warmth," David proclaims on "Murderers" whilst being swallowed and regurgitated by Detroit's street fog, engulfed in red light.

Like much of the mood captured on Summer, "Murderers" possesses hints of emotional reggae, 50s girl groups, and some heavy Morrissey-esque affectation. In other words, sad, sultry, and swoon-worthy. Blood or love? You decide.

Take a steamy stroll with Jenny & Jackie below.
