'Metro Times' wants to hear your tales of online dating!

It's that time of the year again.

Metro Times' annual Lust Issue is just around the corner, which means we're in search of sexy stories from our readers.

Since we live in the age of the smartphone, we're once again looking for tales from the world of online dating. Silicon Valley has "disrupted" the way many things have traditionally been done, and the way we date is no exception. There are now plenty of opportunities to find love (or a hookup) using apps like Tinder, OKCupid, Bumble, Grindr, etc. — but it's a technology that we as a civilization perhaps still haven't quite yet figured out how to navigate with grace and poise. (Case in point: The emergence of the concept of "ghosting" into the popular parlance. 👻)

Like we did last year, we're once again putting out a call for your stories of online dating gone hilariously awry. But this year, we're switching things up a little bit.

Maybe it's just because we need to hear some good news for a change, but this year, we're also interested in hearing your online dating success stories, too.

Maybe you ignored someone's DM's only to bump into them in a party later and realize you actually like them. Maybe OKCupid inaccurately predicted you were a 5 percent match with the person who would later become your soul mate. Or maybe permission to pursue outside relationships by swiping right is saving your marriage at home.

Don't give it all away in the comments. Instead, send your stories to [email protected] by Wednesday, Feb. 6, and we'll publish your (anonymous!) answers in our Lust Issue on Feb. 13. Whoever has the best story — hilarious or otherwise — will receive an erotic prize package.

May the best tale of love in the digital age win.
