Greta Van Fleet wrap hallmark year with sold-out run at the Fox Theatre

If you rolled into 2018 not knowing what the fuck a Greta Van Fleet was, we highly doubt that is the case for 2019 — and maybe we’re to blame. Sure, we at Metro Times sucked upon the Greta Van Teat, but it’s pretty hard to ignore the gifted young rockers that are tirelessly compared to Led Zeppelin (or, according to Pitchfork, “feathered ’70s cosplay”). This year, the brothers Kiszka plus drummer-friend Danny Wagner celebrated the release of their debut record Anthem of the Peaceful Army, earned four Grammy nominations for last year’s EP From the Fires, and practically sold out all three upcoming nights at the Fox Theatre. Not bad for a little band from Frankenmuth.

Greta Van Fleet will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, Saturday, Dec. 29, and Sunday, Dec. 30 at the Fox Theatre; 2211 Woodward Ave., Detroit; 313-471-3200; 313presents.com; Verified re-sale tickets start at $130.
