Curtis Roach catching some feels

When the coolest new kid on the hip-hop block Curtis Roach spoke with Metro Times this past summer, he revealed that he speaks stuff into existence every day. His 2017 J Dilla-inspired breakthrough mixtape, Highly Caffeinated put him on the map as one to watch, helping him to land a spot on this year's MoPop Festival stage. And as of this week, he's getting even more spins.

Roach teamed up with Adidas and seasoned director Colin Tilley (Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar) for the visuals for his latest single "Spectacular" — a playful account of vibing at first sight.

The palm-tree heavy "Spectacular" finds Roach exchanging flirtatious glances with the video's leading lady. Rather than sliding into DM's, though, Roach and his girl crush exchange numbers and chat over landline telephones — a nod to 19-year-old Roach's evolving old-school aesthetic.

The cuties get to know one another through sliding split-screens before Roach rolls up to her house in a flower-filled vintage car for a steamy Netflix-less chill session, resulting in the duo taking a dreamy dip in a pile of tie-dyed daises.

Ah, young love. Peep the visuals for "Spectacular" below and check out Roach's Instagram for an instant pick-me-up.
