We hope you've been working on your "Night Moves" because 94.7 WCSX-FM is gearing up to play Bob Seger songs for 24 hours.
The classic rock station launched a campaign earlier this month to name an Ann Arbor street after the Michigan rocker. The proposed location for Bob Seger Boulevard is on the grounds of Pioneer High School, the 73-year old's Alma Mater. To raise awareness for their noble cause, the "Make Bob Seger Boulevard" Facebook page pandered for likes. In return? The station promised it would play nothing but Seger tunes for 24 hours.
Well, your prayers have been answered, er, liked. After exceeding their goal of 9,470 likes, WCSX announced today that starting Saturday, June 2 at midnight, the station will deliver on their promise of an all-day Seger-a-
With 18 studio albums, WCSX will have no shortage of material to choose from. Whether you're itching to blast "Like a Rock" proudly from your pick-up truck or wishing you were far away from your radio dial (say, in "Katmandu") Seger-fever is here to stay, and the only cure is, well, a whole lot of Seger (and maybe some earplugs).
