Built in 1902 for an esteemed pharmaceutical businessman, organizer of the Detroit Orchestral Association, and trustee of the Detroit Museum of Art, the Frederick Stearns mansion blends Medieval architecture and modern design with straight-up whimsical detailing. 

Among some of those details are a Moravian Pottery fireplace, stained glass windows, and engraved wood panels.
