Who would have thought that Detroit's stoic, phone-banning, troubadour was so skilled in the art of playful banter? Abundant proof was in evidence during Jack White's Friday appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

After a brief chat about White's latest bizarre AF chart-topping output, Colbert invited the founding White Stripe to flesh out full versions of popular jingles in a segment called "Jingle more of the way."

"I hear some heavy Bagel Bites theme going on in here," Colbert said of White's Boarding House Reach.

"Yes, it was Robert Johnson who used to say, 'When you have pizza on a bagel, you can have pizza anytime,'" White responded.

From Band-Aid to Toys 'R Us, the duo added a morbid take on America's beloved coffee brand, weaving a tale of break up and a Godfather-style decapitation.

"The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup," White sang, adding, "The third best part of waking up is remembering she left you."

White was also the musical guest and performed "Ice Station Zebra."

Warning: White's laugh is actually pretty adorable. Watch the full video below.
