You can tell by the bottlenecked line of glimmering Jags, Beemers, Mercedes and SUVs lined up for valet parking that this is a nightspot where the Motor City’s elite come to meet. The food’s OK, but that ain’t the point; it’s the tailored clientele and top-shelf booze that really sets Flood’s apart. And when the band kicks on, the place really starts to thumpin’. Precaution: Don't wear jeans and flip-flops.

Authentic Greek cuisine in the heart of Greektown. The best Gyro in town!

We love this downtown greasy spoon, and not only because it’s right around the corner. The food is reliable, but it’s also a great place for people-watching. Hard by the courts, it’s a hub of activity around breakfast and lunch, with jurors, lawyers, cops and witnesses gorging themselves on hearty diner fare: chicken pitas, philly steaks, turkey melts, anything that sits heavy in the hamper. Closes at 3 p.m.

With its central bar under the stairway to its balcony, this is one of the more appealing spots in Greektown, where the menus can be depended upon to be virtually interchangeable. Lamb dishes, avgolemono soup, crispy squid, Greek salad and flaming cheese are staples here as they are elsewhere on the block.

In the heart of Greektown, this upscale dance club features DJs dishing out Top 40, alternative and dance music every week Thursday through Sunday.
The menu was culled from major world cuisines — Asian, Mediterranean, French, South American, Caribbean and more. It’s fusion food, with Mediterranean given the most influence. Entrees include the expected salmon and lobster, steaks and skinless, boneless chicken, as well as king crab legs, braised lamb shank, Alaskan halibut and Asiago-encrusted New York strip with basil and garlic
