Script Analysis and Character Development for Young Actors is led by Sasha Lazare, a graduate of NYU Tisch, teacher of acting for youth in NY through her Pigeonholed Theatre Co., and an associate director of acting at Interlochen summer program. Script analysis in this workshop will range from full-length Shakespeare to one-page audition sides. Attendees will learn how to analyze a scene and create a stand-out character so they leave feeling confident in making bold character choices. Open to students in Grades 4 - 12. $25

The workshop will be held from 1pm - 4pm at A2CT Studio Theatre 322 W. Ann St. Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Cost $25, A2CT members get 1 free workshop/year. $25 A2CT members get 1 free workshop a year.

Deliberate Misunderstandings: Embroidered Found Photographs

Jane Waggoner Deschner grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, moving to Montana in 1977. She earned degrees in geography at the University of Kansas and, later, in art at Montana State University–Billings (BA) and Vermont College of Fine Arts (MFA). She was invited to create a portrait of a progressive female candidate for the exhibition “In Her Hands,” at Robert Mann Gallery in Chelsea, NYC in the summer of 2018. She has been awarded residencies and fellowships across the US and in Canada. In conjunction with being an artist, she works as an exhibition installer, graphic designer, photographer, instructor, curator and picture framer. On view until Jan. 11.
