2018 Brand Camp Summit: Humans And Cities – Building Brands That Matter

The Brand Camp Summit is a collision of humans, design, technology and grit to make cities for all people. Brand Camp is a gathering of thought leaders, technologists, and creatives around a discussion on branding, entrepreneurial thinking and eradicating the digital divide. The purpose of Brand Camp is to change how people build, launch and grow small businesses and change the narrative of the cities that we live, work and play in.

4th Annual Parktoberfest

Fri., Sept. 21, 12 p.m., Sat., Sept. 22, 12 p.m. and Sun., Sept. 23, 12 p.m.

The free three-day German-style festival returns. It begins at noon each day and features activities and entertainment for all ages, including the Big Biergarten Tent with specialty keg tappings by Griffin Claw Brewing Company (GCBC), Samuel Adams, Angry Orchard and Warsteiner Beer. Beer selections include: Screamin' Pumpkin, Bourbon Barrel Aged Screamin' Pumpkin, Griffin Claw Oktoberfest, Griffin Claw New England #4, Sam Adams, Sam Adams Oktoberfest, Warsteiner, Paulaner, Atwater Bloktoberfest.

Enjoy fall food favorites from the new Bavarian Inn Cluck Truck featuring classic Frankenmuth chicken dinner, smoked sausages, buttered noodles, pretzels, black forest elephant ears and more. Plus EJ's Gourmet Street Cuisine, High Octane Food Truck, Lumen Detroit and more.

There will also be Oktoberfest competitions including stein hoisting (who can hold a full stein the longest) and keg rolling.

Other activities include root beer float at the “Faygo Root Biergarten”; Kid Zone with games, face painting, make and take activities; live music and dance performances; and more.

Admission is free with food and drink for purchase. In addition, the Sunday, Sept. 23rd Detroit Lions game will be live streamed on a big screen. Hours: Friday, Sept. 21 and Saturday, Sept. 22 from noon to midnight; Sunday, Sept. 23 from noon to 11 p.m. free
