“Dear Womanhouse, What Now?: The Art of Being Female in America Today” features the artwork of 28 women artists in a whole-house installation and performance series to explore contemporary women’s lives. This interdisciplinary, multi-generational, and inclusive collaboration has been underway since March 2018, and gives voice to many ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, and gender expressions in southeast Michigan. Script Analysis and Character Development for Young Actors is led by Sasha Lazare, a graduate of NYU Tisch, teacher of acting for youth in NY through her Pigeonholed Theatre Co., and an associate director of acting at Interlochen summer program. Script analysis in this workshop will range from full-length Shakespeare to one-page audition sides. Attendees will learn how to analyze a scene and create a stand-out character so they leave feeling confident in making bold character choices. Open to students in Grades 4 - 12. $25
