4thFridays, Metro Detroit's longest running Christian music venue, features music, poetry and comedy in a coffeehouse setting. The event showcases gifted independent Christian artists and is presented every fourth Friday of the month (except in November and December) by the CAMP and Red Letter Records. 4F is held in Studio A at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center (also known as the Michael Guido Theatre) Doors open at 8pm & shows start at 8:30pm. Most shows end around 10:30pm. Dress is casual. Coffee is free with admission. $10 at door (credit cards and checks accepted)

Global Glass: A Survey of Form and Function is a remarkable exhibition drawn from the extensive glass collection own by the University of Michigan- Dearborn. The exhibition surveys important artists and works created from the mid-1960s to the present. Global Glass examines both functional glass objects and pure sculptural forms that have often taken cues from other fine arts media and movements in the U.S. and internationally. Among the 56 artists represented are glass giants Harvey Littleton, Howard Ben Tré, Dale Chihuly, Ann Robinson, and Kate Vogel. Free

Our always popular Daddy-Daughter Dances will be held Saturday, February 2, in the Hubbard Ballroom at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Daddys and daughters from all ages are invited to join us for this elegant annual affair. We'll have music, door prizes, keepsakes for the daughters, pizza, cake soda pop and much more. Tickets are $20 per person and must be about in advance no later than January 31. Tickets go on sale January 8 at the Theatre Box Office. $20/person
