University of Detroit Mercy’s Libraries / Instructional Design Studio presents "Total Sensory Freak-out: Detroit's Zeitgeist Collective, 1997 to 2008." This art exhibit documents the 11-year life of the independent, community-run art gallery and theater. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. This is the sixth exhibit in a series showcasing Detroit’s cultural history and curated by Maurice Greenia, Jr., who has selected playbills, postcards, original artworks, newspaper articles and other items from his collection. LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan wants families to discover their radical powers at NINJAGO Event Days Saturday, July 20 to Monday, Sept. 2. Based on The LEGO NINJAGO Movie, the event days will have several activities for kids and parents to hone their skills to become a master NINJAGO warrior. Guests will be challenged to create a ninja battle scene, accomplish a scavenger hunt and build their own mech machine to fight the forces of evil and help Master Wu’s team prevail. Kids can meet and greet Kai, one of the stars of NINJAGO and watch the movie.
