University of Detroit Mercy’s Libraries / Instructional Design Studio presents "Total Sensory Freak-out: Detroit's Zeitgeist Collective, 1997 to 2008." This art exhibit documents the 11-year life of the independent, community-run art gallery and theater. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. This is the sixth exhibit in a series showcasing Detroit’s cultural history and curated by Maurice Greenia, Jr., who has selected playbills, postcards, original artworks, newspaper articles and other items from his collection. Are you having trouble controlling the way you eat? Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is an international fellowship of people who have experienced difficulties in life as a result of our relationship to food and eating. Our program of recovery is based on the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. We make use of AA principles to gain freedom from addictive eating. There are no dues, fees, or weigh-ins at FA meetings. Membership is open to anyone who wants help with food. 313-629-3767
