Looking for more freedom of expression? Confidence? A way to relieve stress & commune with others through singing? Group & solo vocal improvisation is a way to open up your vocal vocabulary & express yourself fully. It can also improve your listening & communication skills! We will offer a joyful safe space in which to explore our voices together. Techniques from Rhiannon's Vocal River along with Ms. Mead’s movement and vocal exercises. Dory Mead (dorymead.com) earned her BMA in Vocal Performance from UM School of Music & has performed with the Metro City Lyric Opera, Arbor Opera Theater. $25

A2CT will be holding a Lighting and Sound Design Workshop from 10am – 4pm at 322 W. Ann St, Ann Arbor 48104. Morning: Hands-on practice in sound editing for theater, creating sound effects, how to use a sound board, microphones for theater. Afternoon: theatrical lighting and design—basic terms, hanging and cabling lights, how to run a soundboard. Participants can do either one session ( or both, . Full-day participants should bring a lunch. Instructor Brice O’Neal teaches technical theater at Community High School and runs A2CT’s Technical Theater Troupe. He will be joined by other local theatrical sound experts. Full day $40, Morning or Afternoon $25

A2CT will hold a workshop on Movement and Combat for Juniors led by instructor Brice O’Neal. The workshop will takes place April 13 from 1:00pm-4:00pm for grades4 - 12 and up. The cost for the workshop is $25, and A2CT members receive one free workshop per season.
