    A legend in Mexican folk music comes to Detroit this Friday. Gabino Palomares, whose compositions portray Mexican/Latin American society in all its complexity. A part of a generation that created political-cultural movements such as the New Latin American Song. Songs like “La Maldición de Malinche” denounce injustices, war, and amplify voices of workers, youth, women, indigenous peoples and all oppressed. As part of his world tour, Gabino will present “Cantos para Continuar” and share views of the current reality in Mexico.
